Emergency/Medical/Health and Safety Procedure

In the event of a serious accident or illness to your child you will be contacted immediately. If you are unavailable the the next nominated contact person will be informed immediately.
Your child will be treated with first aid by a qualified member of staff and if necessary emergency service will be contacted. In the event of any serious outbreak of infectious diseases we would contact you immeadiately and if necessary we would make contact with the appropriate health authority.A record will be kept of any medicines given to the child with the parent's consent.
Any child suffering from any infectious diseases/sore throats/discharge from the eyes or ears/conjunctivitis/severe thrush/sickness and/ or diarrheoa must be witheld from the nursery to prevent others being infected.
Any child taking antibiotics must be kept away from the nursery for at least24 hours-or untill they are eating and drinking normally and temperature has returned to normal.

*All staff have been trained to indentify health risksand hygeine requirements for the nursery.
*A no smoking policy is operated throughout the nursery.
*All rooms are fitted with smoke sensors.
*All staff have been trained in fire procedures.
*All cleaning materials are stored safely out of children's reach.
*All low level glass is laminated.
*Stairs are fitted with safety gates.
